The AADSF promotes a constructive dialogue with the Arts Administration department and the University of Oregon and organizes arts administration related events such as Lecture series during winter term. The AADSF also provides program faculty with constructive feedback for improvement of the program and a structured means for responding to the feedback.
The AAdSF is committed to supporting in-coming and continuing students through developing open dialogue within the Arts Administration Community.
The Arts and Administration Student Forum (AAdSF) is a student-initiated organization whose mission is to promote a constructive dialogue within the Arts and Administration community and to organize AAD-related events and collaborative relationships reflective of the interests of current AAD students. AAdSF offers opportunities for students of all disciplines to discuss, contemplate, explore, study, debate, and promote art, creativity, and culture.
As a collective, AAdSF can be a supplemental source of knowledge, exchange, and professional development, providing a true forum for the continuation of the discussion that has been generated within classrooms, lectures, through employment, internships, and life experiences.
The objectives of AAdSF are to:
- Promote constructive dialogue among faculty, staff, and students of the University of Oregon AAD program
- Provide AAD students a collective voice for discourse with AAD faculty and constructive feedback for improvement of the program
- Create opportunities for collaborative relationships and encourage cross-disciplinary dialogue with other student organizations and University programs
- Organize and sponsor arts administration related activities for professional and community development
