Established in 1910, Friars is the oldest honorary society on the UO campus. Membership is composed of faculty members and students who have completed at least 3 years of study. Criteria are contributions to the university, potential for community leadership and commitment to the university as alumni. No application is required. Prospective members are nominated by the active membership. New members are selected each spring.                      
Prerequisites:

• Completion of 3 years of study
• Significant contributions to campus community
• $55 initiation fee
