The Undergraduate Council is comprised of four student representatives and ten faculty representatives. The Council takes a broad, university-wide view of undergraduate education at the University of Oregon, reviewing overall objectives and suggesting improvements. The Council works closely with the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies to establish criteria for excellent General Education courses and to promote coherence, quality, and rigor across the curriculum.
