Symposium Overview

The President’s Leadership Symposium honors student leaders for their contributions to the campus community while also providing advanced leadership training through a series of workshops and keynote presentations. Over 200 student leaders are selected and honored at this event each year.

The Symposium begins with a selection of advanced leadership workshops, presented by leaders and various professionals from the UO and Eugene community. Students are then honored at a dinner reception in the EMU Ballroom, featuring dynamic guest keynote presentations and remarks by the University of Oregon President.

Participation in the Symposium is determined through a nomination process. Student organizations and university departments are asked to identify and nominate student leaders. In some cases a senior ranked student officer in an organization may hold this responsibility.
