The Holden Leadership Center currently maintains three endowed funds that support the continued growth and success of the Leadership Center and its programs, staff and physical space. Support for an endowment allows the Holden Leadership Center to continue to expand its leadership education efforts for the campus community. Information on current endowments can be found below. To make a gift to one of these endowments or to discuss the creation of a new endowment, please contact John Duncan at 541-346-3701 or via email. Holden Leadership Center Endowed Fund Richard C. Williams Endowed Student Leadership Fund Kilkenny Service and Leadership Fund
The Holden Leadership Center Fund was established in 2007 through the generosity and kindness of alumni Ambassador Glen Holden, Oregon '51, and his wife Gloria, Oregon '50. The fund was created to support the development of a University wide Leadership Center that would support the purposeful growth and development of the UO student body through leadership education, civic engagement and service learning. This UO Foundation fund will allow your contribution to be tax deductible.
The Richard C. Williams Endowed Student Leadership Fund was established in 2004 through the patronage of alumni Andy Berwick, Oregon '53 and Phyllis Berwick, Oregon '56. This endowment is used to develop educational efforts that will facilitate a greater understanding of leadership theory and practice, the importance of involved citizenry, and the concept of community service. Scholarships may also be offered for students to attend conferences and workshops or provide financial support through stipends and honorariums. This UO Foundation fund will allow your contribution to be tax deductible.
The Kilkenny Service and Leadership Fund was established in 2008 through the generosity of Patrick and Stephanie Kilkenny. The fund, which provides multiple grants of up to $1,000, allows students to conduct community service events and projects throughout the academic year. The fund provides the resources necessary to create and administer meaningful service projects that respond to real issues and needs in the community. This also encourages higher levels of volunteerism within the campus community by promoting the impact of service while enhancing access to it for all students at the University. The UO Foundation fund will allow your contribution to be tax deductible.
