 Leadership Fund

Your gift to the Holden Leadership Center Leadership Fund provides the resources necessary to support a variety of leadership courses, programs, events and initiatives. These activities will facilitate student learning and enhance their understanding of leadership theory and practice. This fund will also support scholarships for students to attend conferences, workshops and Institutes as well as stipends and honorariums for visiting lecturers and presenters. This is a current use fund which means that your contribution can be applied directly to the Holden Leadership Center's highest and most immediate area of need. 

 Service and Volunteer Fund

Your gift to the Service & Volunteer Fund enables students to learn and develop intellectually through the combination of traditional classroom work and structured community service. The Service Learning Program offers undergraduate student's opportunities to learn and engage in the needs of the community, develop their leadership skills, and to gain professional experience through related courses, internships, practicum experiences and service opportunities. Contributing to this fund provides the support and resources necessary to empower University of Oregon students to actively engage in service, volunteerism and community based work throughout their college experience and beyond.

 LeaderShape Fund

The LeaderShape Institute is an interactive, energizing, and unique learning experience that identifies, develops and delivers an extensive set of leadership skills. It is a six day program of non-stop self discovery and learning for 60 UO students are who selected each spring to participate in the fall program. This highly regarded and nationally recognized program is open to students who are interested in producing extraordinary results in an organization while also developing their commitment to lead with a high level of integrity. A contribution to the LeaderShape Fund would provide scholarship opportunities for participants and would allow the UO to expand the amount of sessions for students (currently there is one session of the Institute).

 Alternative Break Fund

Dedicated to providing students the opportunity to explore the most pressing social issues facing communities throughout the nation, the Alternative Break Program facilitates short-term service experiences aimed to inspire, educate and empower participants to make a difference in the lives of others. Trips occur in locations throughout the country and focus on a variety of topics, including poverty, illiteracy, youth development, cultural exploration, sustainability and humanitarianism.  A gift to the Alternative Break Fund will allow the Service Learning Program to expand the experience and create new locations, allow for more students to attend, and will provide scholarships for participants in need.
